Izjave sodelujočih na razstavi in obiskovalcev

22.9.-30.10.2011

Tanja Pak, oblikovalka

"Čestitam organizatorjem in snovalcem razstave. Narejen je prvi pomemben korak v načrtni mednarodni promociji Slovenskega oblikovanja. "
Jure Miklavc, Studio Miklavc

Marino in Marjeta Furlan, Intralighting

“Slovenia is the country of choice for the thrifty manufacturing of contemporary furniture. Less well known is that it has its own thriving design scene, turning out some excellent contemporary ideas. The best known Slovenian designer is Nina Zupanc who has gone from rising star to designing for big names like Moooi and Moroso.”
Caroline Roux, The Independent, UK

“Your show was an asset to tent London, congratulations.”

Jimmy, Tent London, director, UK

“Silent Revolutions was an interesting look at the latest Slovenian design in the context of classic industrial products like the ETA 80 Telephone and Peter Florjancic's plastic slide frame. The show functioned as neat capsule of the country's design and manufacturing history, and a sign of the emerging Slovenian design culture that is currently being spurred on by young exciting designers like Nika Zupanc.”
Stephen Block, ICON, UK

“Although for much of its recent past the country has been out of the world's gaze, it seems that Slovenian design has been growing quietly and steadily. I came to the aptly named 'Silent Revolutions' exhibition with no preconceptions, to find a concise yet varied collection of world-class product design, with no over-bearing national characteristics to pigeonhole it. The show adequately demonstrates that in the global arena this small country punches well beyond its weight.”
Jane Plüer, Pentagram, UK

“I had seen Slovenia exhibit during Salone del Mobile in April in Milan and was very impressed. I thought their exhibition in London was even better – with great information and a wonderful mixture of industrial design and fashion.   I am looking forward to seeing more!”
Beth Dickstein, BDE, New York

"The Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana has not only been amassing a remarkable collection of great design, but also actively supporting the industry for well over four decades through the biannual BIO design exhibition and awards. Now the impressive 'Silent Revolutions' exhibition has been compiled to bring some of the best of this collection to a wider international audience. It's admirable that the Slovenian government is showing its recognition and support of their growing design community in bringing 'Silent Revolutions' to London. Featuring contemporary product design alongside classics from past years, this great exhibition clearly demonstrates that Slovenia has much to celebrate."
Malcolm Garrett RDI, www.53k.co.uk, UK

“It was a pleasure to attend The Silent Revolutions exhibition in London and be inspired by how the similarly small country can achieve such a great awareness and brilliant presentation of its design excellence in London metropolis. Wishing you great design challenges also in the future!”
Maija Udre, Young Creative Entrepreneurs Programme Manager, Latvia

“Silent revolutions captured the vibrancy, creativity and excellence of Slovenian design perfectly. It was a fitting tribute to a country celebrating its past and looking to its future. Everyone I spoke to then and since loved it.”

James Hampson, Director British Council Slovenia

”Silent Revolutions…” is the first international showcase of product design from this young independent European country, and judging by the outstanding quality of the items in this show, I’d say it’s a country to keep an eye on!”
Michaela Mildenhall, Design Writer, UK
